How ARE you?
In many ways, being locked down hasn't changed my life that much. I already worked from home. I already cooked a lot and did knitting projects and immersed myself in books, tv shows, and podcasts.
Now I’m working out at home instead of going to the gym. Now I’m seeing my friends, if ever, only from a distance.
But, like all of us, I’m wishing I could sit in a coffee shop with the buzz of people around me. I wish I could hop on a bus to Boston or New York and see my friends. I wish I could have someone to stay in the guest room and cook for them, bring them on my favorite hikes, watch TV with them on the couch.
One tiny silver lining has been connecting with distant friends online, and as part of that, I’m doing an online Historical Fiction Happy Hour at 8pm on May 29, and you are all invited (sign up at the link), with authors Greer MacAllister, Rita Woods and Carrie Callaghan. There will be historical demos, including drink recipes, drinking games and book giveaways. I hope you can make it!
